WaltZie
Breeding is a must and well implemeted at current stage ... but how to reduce the "massive Factories/Cloners" ? Trading dino is essential but need a better way ... I do not say to make Dino personal and not transferable .. but i'd like to see some new ideas to reduce a "manufacturing breeding line" factory presence ... e.g. Dino transfert to other players will caps stats, personal ones that will have lot higher caps add a RPG breeder capability to single PG to increase stats chance, timing, etc... remove cloning stuffs This will push personal breeding, but require something to not advantage too much large clans hardcore gamers (24h day) versus other ones.
Tylanater
There's a few different things that contribute to this in Ark 1 that they could fix in Ark 2 if breeding is even returning as we know it. Firstly, allowing players to build in massive caves, which allows them to breed with no threat whatsoever, making them the only viable base spots in the game. Pretty much no open area is viable. Cryopods are also a huge contributor. Before cryos it was nearly impossible to breed the way people do today. Changing how kibble works also had a huge effect. Before cryos + kibble change half of your tame allowance had to be egg dinos, which a lot of people didn't like, but IMO it's better than these walmart bases with 500+ gigas breeding to top stat. Additionally, infinite mutations (essentially) needs to not return at all, it's so bad for the game. A perfect tamed 150 is probably somewhere in the ball park of 10,000% worse than a top stat dino. They need to make the maximum benefit of breeding far less. +30% rider bonus is already strong enough to be worth doing some breeding. That plus like a max of 20% increase to stats is more than enough.
Tschon
Yeah mutations are kool but it ruined the game because new players cannot catch up to those who have played for 7 years and are on 24/
fohror
Mutation are a must to have high stats depends on the dino and what will be its mission to make players ave advantage doing like bosses or any others missions.
Mangost
i have said it before on other threads but it would be best imo if mutations were like "traits" that filled slots and could either give stat bonuses, trade offs (+1 hp, -1dmg for example) or even special abilities so that breeding was to create custom dinos, and wouldn't be as much of a powercreep. that way a well bred dino would still be BETTER than like a fresh tame, but insanely better and it wouldn't take much to get something competitive Edited November 14, 2022 by Mangost
Ginns
Reducing the reliance on "massive factories/cloners" in breeding can be achieved through various approaches. Instead of mass-producing clones or relying on factories, focus on selective breeding practices. Identify and breed individuals with desirable traits, such as health, temperament, or specific characteristics, to maintain genetic diversity while still achieving your breeding goals. smash karts
