Every 7th or so. Later you can cryo your dinos do they don't decay but your electrical outlet will in 8 days, cause Ark.

Even later you can build a Tek generator that lets you keep everything running. Now you just have to farm element to keep it running.

Haven’t played in a week or two and all of my Dino’s and half of my base is “Auto decayed destroyed”!?!?

How long does it take for that to happen if you don’t play for a while???

8 days for any tames out.  8 days for all wooden structures, 12 for stone? 14metal?  something like that 20 days for tek.   There are a few outliers.

For example, if you want to take a 30 day break - you can.   You put all your tames into cryo.  Set all your cryo fridges on the ground with a tek generator in the middle.  Fill up that generator with enough element.   THen take a 30 day break.  Your base will have decayed.  You will have no more stuff.   BUT  - you will have all your tames you podded and stored.   Cryofridges have a 40 day timer and they can be set on the ground so they don't have to break with floor if you don't want them to.

There's even a way to extend the time your vaults would have to decay.  They decay at the rate of metal , so if you want to make it last longer than the metal or tek floor, you set it on a glass floor.  This breaks the day before the metal.  Now your timer is reset.  It falls onto a metal floor, this breaks the next day, your timer is reset.  It has now fallen onto a tek floor.  This decays 6 days later.  Now your timer is reset.  This would make your vaults last 35 days if you set it up that way.   (you could always put everything that could go into a dedicated - into dedicated reducing the # of vaults you need)

Now , if people aren't playing by the rules , some will try to cover over it all.  The fix would be to leave a tek forcefield set down in the middle of all this AND make sure to have dedicated storages all around the area set very low to the ground.  If raised up too high, they can be covered.  Make sure everything is within a radius that you can cover.   Fill that forcefield full of element, ready to turn back on the moment you get back.   Tek troughs could be on ground as well, filled with eggs and kibbles u want to preserve.

A well setup storage base could hold everything for at least 30 days.  You would only lose the floors, walls, pillars, gates.  If you wanted to keep the surrounding area reserved , you would use dedicated storages instead of pillars and ladders to claim the area.

Are you f*king kidding me?! So you have to play at least every 8th day or your Dino’s die?!?!

Yeah, it's pretty annoying if you don't have a schedule that let's you log in regularly.

Having said that, ARK also offers a single-player option that fixes this problem, and there are many un-official servers that have a variety of settings on their server. You might be able to find one that has modified decay timers for more casual play.

unless you own the server and turn it off or play on single player, yeah. This happens all the time.

But good luck devoting 7 years for perfectly bred mutated dino's. x.x

Then again, on single-player and private servers you can adjust the breeding settings so it takes very little time.

yes......I was kinda poking fun at the "online" experience with that line.....You stuff gets auto deleted in 8-30 days, but in order to try and get those super rex's mutated, it will take you more or less 1 solid year to get them just right.
