Hallucigenia is a very odd creature. Looking like an odd worm with two sets of legs, it's unlike any other. However, despite it's looks, it's certainly quite terrifying. just a prick from any of the incredibly sharp spines on it's back will send the survivor into an intense, nightmare filled sleep during which the survivor has a chance to die. If hit by the full effect of it's poison, the survivor will never wake up again.
DOMESTICATED:
Hallucigenia does not seem to show enough intelligence to be domesticated. However, some tribes have cautiously lured it into traps, and harvested the venom it secretes over time and turning it into a very potent tranquilizer. Unlike other more regular modes of tranquilization, using too much may kill the target, depending on the size. It does not seem to be able to be used in dart form, as it is very volatile, and will essentially spoil if moved too fast suddenly, turning it into an incredibly potent acid (this may have it's own uses, so I'll hold off judgement for now). Therefore, it is usually used to keep creatures asleep while taming them. Because of it's power, it can also be used to poison food and kill your enemies. As the substance is clear and does not have a scent, it is very powerful. This creature is full of surprises, as it seems to also secrete a form of ammonite bile when attacked, causing all creatures around it to attack the aggressor. Hallucigenia can be found in the open plains of one of the three realms of Fjordur.
So basically, this is sort of like another source of biotoxin. They act like the mushrooms on aberration, giving a negative status effect when touched. If a survivor even gets close to a hallucigenia, they will get immediately knocked out and maybe even killed. It'd be small but not so small that you can't see it. I'd really appreciate some suggestions on the thing, because this is really sort of a half-baked idea. Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of your day.
