ARK is a game unlike any other on the market. The ingenuity of caveman like survival with large predators of the past posing constant fear creates an environment of immense struggle and achievement with the smallest progressions. being a fan of the game and of its progress forward, one can only be guilty of wanting even more of the awesome surprises and updates. Something posed among my colleagues and among other "Dino Nerds" like myself has been the differentiation of dinosaur species. with the upcoming votes for dinosaurs on the Lost Island, something we wanted to bring up was the other types of each dinosaur family. Take the Trike for instance. The Ceratopsidae family is composed of large varieties of dinosaurs similar in nature and anatomy to that of the triceratops (example picture included below). while not interesting enough to usually be considered for exciting creature announcements these dinosaurs could still possibly make an appearance in the game adding variety and flare unseen ever before in the video game world. What was proposed was the adding of variations of each dinosaur allowing even greater diversity and interest on the ARK. This could be done in the same fashion as the color and tek forms on ARK creatures with a random chance of these alternate species spawning in groups of two or three randomly across whatever ARK this would be applied to. These alternate species could still be compatible however with the saddles for their family (example the trike saddle could fit the triceratops and the diabloceratops alike) The adding of even more diversity in the creatures seen will make each pet tamed seem more realistic and in turn more valuable to each survivor as each will be unique and unlike others commonly seen. As the game moves forward with its updates hopefully the adding of species diversity will be a goal for Future ARKS.
