GameFreak
my friend is trying to convince me to get ark and sotf on pc but im not sure i would be able to run it. my comp has 3.0 amd 8 core processor 8gd ram geforce gtx 650 i downloaded sotf to play with him but when i went to test it my comp overheated, it was because i needed to clean out the heat sink (at least thats what i believe the reason was), i put all the settings to normal instead of high and epic which was the default. can someone tell me if i should change the settings again and what i should change? Volunteer Moderator ThzNutz Posted May 20, 2016 Volunteer Moderator Share Posted May 20, 2016 with a gtx 650 (assuming a 2gb card?) a mix of medium/low with no check marks in the boxes below the "sky slider" should give you decent frames. set shadows on low and see how far you can get view distance set (as high as possible). download and install evga precisionX, (or afterburner, etc) take your video card fan setting off of auto and change the fan speed to around 65-70% (depending on how loud it is). you may also need to change your cpu fan settings, which is typically done in the bios.
