Sagan
Does the level of the wild roaming wyverns affect the level of the eggs that will spawn?
Rlizee
Yes. Depending on which wyvern area you are in though, as some trenches have a lot of wyverns around. Generally. If you see a 100, there could be a 100 egg. However they do despawn, and eggs can go stale, meaning as soon as you pick it up it vanishes. Best bet is to go in. Clear out eggs, see what you get. Then you know fresh ones are coming and probably directly linked to the ones flying near.
Sagan
So it's worth clearing out the low level wyverns like on crystal island or valgeuro for better egg spawns?
zero064
If you want a high level be prepared to gather many eggs. I usually build a turret station nearby. Lead the Wyverns to their deaths, clear out the eggs and repeat until the desired one spawns.
AllOfTheAllos
Not just levels, but colors or the wyverns that'll hatch from them, too - if you see a really nice looking wild wyvern, take a look at its level and look for eggs of the wyvern of that same level - might be from the one whose colors you liked. Yes, but you also have to pick up the low level eggs. If you only clear the wyverns then the eggs will sit there for a long time before new eggs are laid by the new wyverns.
