axi92
Hey I have a gportal server I tried to use the BanListURL in ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/GameUserSettings.ini Under the section: [ServerSettings] BanListURL="http://sunnybanlist.axi92.at/banlist.txt" But the server ignores everybody I add to that list, everybody can join. Tried restarting the server after editing the banlist. Nothing works. What am I doing wrong? Whitelist, adminlist and local banlist is empty. Larkfields
I have a working banlist, but I'm using the ip address instead of the URL. in GUS.ini [ServerSettings] BanListURL="http://192.168.1.10/banlist.txt"
axi92
I can not use an IP because I use cloudflare.
axi92
This is the only thread I found: @PhorceOne sorry for tagging you but have you ever resolved the BanListURL problem?
Larkfields
I guess the next thing to try is to download the banlist on the Ark server to see if its accessible from there... wget -O bl.txt http://sunnybanlist.axi92.at/banlist.txt wget for Windows is here... http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/wget.htm Also look at the web server's access and error logs to see if the banlist is being read by the ark server. nworlds
Digging up the dead, but... I found out that my banlist.txt that is hosted on a web server only works with a single entry in it. As soon as i add a second line, it is ignored. the file consists only of the steam ID's, one in every line, in form of: 7656119839854xxxx 7656119881102xxxx 7656119886276xxxx 7656119904259xxxx 7656119831858xxxx 7656119886341xxxx 7656119804535xxxx 7656119807052xxxx 7656119796052xxxx 7656119899753xxxx so in theory it should work, but id doesn't If i leave a single ID in there it works perfectly. Has something changed in the syntax? some separation mark? i tried spaces, comma, semicolon, nothing worked.
Larkfields
My banlist has CR LF at the end of each line. Yours has LF without the CR. Could that be the problem?

nworlds
but i think you are on to something if i add a blank line it again ignores the list, so maybe i should look into my upload method?

Thanks for giving me that hint! https://superuser.com/questions/614663/can-dreamweaver-respect-the-newline-format-of-files May be your issue. I remember DW causing issues for me a long time ago.
