DNGLGLXDANGER
Well, If you're a starter, a parasaur isn't bad. Thay have good stam, and you can use weapons while riding it. Also, a high level parasaur can take down a bary, or a sarco quite easily. It's not the best, but it's not a bad tame. Try using it as an early-game berry collector to collect berries for food and narcoberries, which can be made into narcodic, in a mortar and pestle. Try making some tranq-arrows, and get yourself a pack of raptors(KO tame), a stego(KO tame), one or two pteras(KO tame, you have to bola them when they're landed and shoot tranq arrows in their head) and some moschops for epic resource gathering. On top of that, you'll need a smithy, and a forge in your starter-base. Try to live near the beaches, because you'll need water(for living) and the beach is one of the safest place to live. This is how you get started in ark. Oh, and one more thing, placing beds in your base will let you spawn in your base, and it is nice to have gates/spikes surrounding your base, so that nothing bad will try to get in your base and kill your tames. Get some storage boxes in your base, so that you can put your stuff safe while not getting encumbered constantly. PS: Parasaurs are op when it comes to countering small creatures, because it can scare away small creatures. You might wanna use this ability well.
