Why are NA Servers Accessible by Asia/Europe?

Easily half of all the players on NA servers are originating from Asian and Eastern European IPs. I'm not an internet guru but I'm guessing that this causes tons of lag for everyone. Secondly, this is a community game. The first thing a community does to be successful is communicate. History has taught us that when communication breaks down, conflict ensues. We cannot even communicate with these players as their language fonts show up in Ark as [] [] [] []. This serves to dehumanize the foreign players, cause mistrust, and in a lot of cases even belligerence, intolerance, and hatred. It's easy to hate and blame people when you can't even read their names or what they are saying. At least the Spanish-Speaking players and English-Speaking players can google translate what each other are saying.

 

Secondly is the plain truth. Almost all of the sales of virtual items/dinosaurs in Ark for real cash is originating in Asia and Eastern Europe. This is ruining the game economy, cheapening feelings of accomplishment, and basically just ruining gameplay in general. How is it a survival game or a pvp game when someone can drop a couple hundred dollars and become dominant in a matter of hours? A lot of these vendors further ruin the game by DDOSing the servers so that they can illegally duplicate their clones so that they have a bigger stock of dinos to sell for real money.

Please, please region lock Ark North American servers to North America. This has nothing about integration or equality or even good sociological skills. This is about unstable/crashing servers, massive latency, game-breaking cheating, and ruining the game for hundreds/thousands of people.

If a bunch of players were to start posting tons of pro Taiwan and Hong Kong signs on those servers the Chinese government would probably ban the game in China, that would take care of the issue😏
