Renaming a player with Russian characters in his name.

Hi guys,

I am having a real problem trying to rename players with Russian/Ukrainian names/characters.  They just show up as little rectangle boxes I have tried with ASM I have tried the normal console command.

Any idea?

admincheat renameplayerid <implant id> new name without quote

Thank you, I will try this later today.

 

After trying this both in game and via RCON using the following commands;

admincheat renameplayerid <661338647> HellBoy
admincheat renameplayerid "661338647" HellBoy
admincheat renameplayerid 661338647 HellBoy

And also thoses 3 without the admincheat at the front.

It does not rename his character.  Any other ideas?

Are you sure the ID is correct? The following:

admincheat renameplayerid 416622783 new name without quote

Worked just fine for me. Before:

Had to die for my implant to update, but my character name was updated instantly after issuing this command.
