Disabling uploads/transfers without notice needs to STOP.

I'm tired of getting "Wildcarded", by what they are doing.  It's lazy and unprofessional.

Wildcard needs to stop disabling transfers on official servers without notice.

I understand that they need to disable them from time to time to combat dupers and deal with maintenance issues.  That's not a problem.  What is a problem though, is not telling anybody that they are going to do it.  It is not fun to watch your gear/tames/items go "poof", as the 24 hour timer expires, and you can do NOTHING ABOUT IT.

It's time wildcard.  Your "customer support" won't replace the items (too much work).  The least you can do for your customers is either notifying the playerbase before you do it, or at the bare minimum, pause the 24 hour timer.

Better yet, get rid of the timer altogether.  You're responsible.  Now fix it.

This is the right answer.

It makes sense that they disable transfers without notice, since the two major reasons for disabling transfers are to catch cheaters/dupers and to fix bugs, in neither of those cases is it a good idea to wait until some arbitrary amount of time has passed after notifying players. No matter how much notice they give there would still be people complaining that it's "not enough time", that's a lose-lose situation for WildCard.

But a win for everyone is pausing the timer. Don't allow transfers and also take care of the players by preserving their stuff that legitimately should be preserved.

Or you can simply join the official Ark Discord and get informed as soon as something is happening, like most of us do anyways.

Absolutely not.

This is 100% Wildcard's fault, and they can fix easily by getting rid of, or pausing the timer.

Trying to pass the blame onto the players is beyond ridiculous.  Saying all players should join their discord so they don't get screwed over by their developers' lack of professionalism is laughable.

I agree with that, if the reasons are to catch cheaters unaware.  The problem is, they are making legitimate players suffer, and that's not acceptable.

IMO, pausing 24 timer is the least they can do.  The least they should do.

I'm not sure why they even have a 24 hour timer in the first place.  It does nothing to stop duping.  They should retire the timer 100%, and be done with it.

They are not.

They are both the result of a network outage.

Again...  even if they are, it does not address the fact that the 24 hour timer should be paused.  This is not the first time this has happened, and it occurs often on a handful of servers that are ripe with duping players.

You're making excuses for a condition that should not exist.
