Is there a way to not get a gap when placing large rows of Metal Slopped Roofs?

It could be based on the orientation of your ceilings or foundations.  As well as if the walls up are snapped on inner or outter snap points.  Founds and ceilings are not 100% square.  They are ever so slightly rectangular, which could lead to weird alignments.

Without pictures, it's difficult for me to give any other input.

was doing a large ceiling and needed to place around 20+ slopped roofs and once at the end i had a large gap and couldnt work out how to get round it unless theres a trick to it?

Unfortunately the only way is to go slowly and check every tile after you've placed it, to make sure that you haven't accidentally attached it to the wrong snap point, especially with sloped roof's.

If you run back & forth too quickly it's almost inevitable that some will be attached to the wrong snap point, you have to check each and every sloped ceiling as you place them.
