If this is an open world sandbox, it could very well be an mmorpg architecture that could host hundreds if not thousands of players on each shard. Ultimately this means no hosting private Ark 2 servers, but the trade off would be better customer service, better enforcement, highly maintainable game environments and a much broader potential for growth and expansion in development.
