Haven't had any issues but I'm not sure how, or if it's possible to change the settings after you already have it set up. Can I change the regulators, e.g. the difficulty or the spawn rate of dinosaurs, after I have already started a game with my friends? Or is all that just stuck in place once it's set? You can change the difficulty at runtime with the following admin command: admincheat setdifficultyvalue <difficulty> It won't affect current spawns though, so you might want to also perform a dino wipe.
