Player backups

This morning I had to roll back one of my servers to fix an issue.  After doing so, one of the players who had recently crossed over from another ark logged in to find their gear completely gone because they did not exist on the rolled back map.  I went in to see if I could load their character backup and it only went back one backup... when they logged in to the new instance.  And there were were no backups for her character on the previous ark.  It seems a bit short sighted that the server will go back 12 backups, but character saves only go back one backup.  Is there a configuration setting to allow for multiple character backups?  I've been doing my best to replace her gear, but she had dinos in cryo that I can't replace.
