Give our Primates some Tender loving care

ImpureFrost

Suggestion

Always have been a fan of these Primates in this game. Maybe it's time for tlc.

Mesopithecus:
1. Crafting Speed Stat, as a primate it just makes sense. The crafting would be accessible through a wheel menu to access it's inventory. Making it the perfect crafting buddy (Courtesy of Udam's idea)

2. Double Gatherer, to make the mesopithecus more  useful pre-game, while on shoulder harvesting bushes gets double berries into the mesopithecus inventory.

3. Door lock mechanic: The mesopithecus has the ability to open doors from thatch to wood, why not have him able to lock doors behind you. Accessible through wheel menu setting to walk through doors and close behind and open ahead.

Gigantopithecus:
1. Throwing trail, When aiming with the giganto, we should see a landing trail, to make him more useful and more precise
2. New item: Slingpack, Gigantopithecus can be equipped with a slingpack to filter items to boxes nearby and divide between storage boxes.
3. Tree climber: can climb trees and can access ranged items from human inventory.

Gigantopithicus is fine as is right now, their TLC update was pretty much all it needed to be.

Mesopithicus could definitely stand to get an updated model, and some higher damage on their poop throw. Maybe they could be given rocks or grenades to throw, making them a slightly more dangerous shoulder pet to face.

They're also supposed to be omnivores, but right now only eat plants, so that could be fixed.

If they were made a little bigger, maybe they could be given a spear/pike that it can use against creatures that get too close to you, like angry Dimorphs and Vultures trying to kill you off your saddle.

The double gathering idea is nice, maybe it could also boost your gathering speed(You collect bushes faster)

Aside from that, there isn't anything I think would work well on the Mesopithicus.
