Hey everyone, I also have had the same problem ever since the last update. I am playing Single Player only.

 

Something I noticed is that it seems to crash on start if I am not connected to the internet (my WiFi kicks me out occasionally). So I’m gonna play until it crashes, check if I’m connected to the web and if I am not connected, that’s a hint for sure!

EDIT: Welp, I wasn’t connected to the internet for about 15 minutes or so and it crashed... So could this be related?

 

I’m still not sure but is that something that the Ark devs can fix via Update or is this something The client side has to do? Thank you! I’m not very computer savvy so this is a challenge for me 😉

That’s kinda what I experience. Whether I run my PC from my mobile 4G hotspot or WiFi: Every time the connection breaks or gets interrupted, boom! Crash.

Hey, guys~ we need you help !!!

Time-Accurate Crash every 30 min or every 60 min, I pretty sure this is logic error

from 315.15 to 317.1, half month !!!! do something to fix this bug, ok ?

This very much reads like a out of memory issue.   I've had these symptoms when there is a memory issue.  Periodic crashes/drops etc.

Maybe this bit of wisdom will lead you or someone to a solution.   It might be something needs adjusting to compensate or perhaps you don't have enough RAM for the long run.   You may be able to confirm by monitoring RAM use over time.

my PC have 16GB RAM memory

and when the crash happen, the system remaining more than 8GB

I need help aswell i have verified the game, it started when steam does that glitch where it thinks the game isnt installed but it is, and i didnt have enough space on the drive i had it installed on for it to start downloading again, so i switched drives and had to completely download ark again which is anoiying then when its done i load in and waited for the mods to finish downloading then went to play and as i would load into the world it would crash with VERSION: 317.1, i have ark running in admin and have tried everything it pisses me off cause it started from steam being anoiying and thinking i dont have it downloaded, just hoping i could find someone with a solution.

i have 32gb of ram and have a 1660TI graphics card, i have an i9 processor,

The crash is happening at IsValid() function, and if you look at the backtrace there is a call to something enough descriptive to guess what it is: FAmazonS3MultipartUpload...

I would bet it is due the problem that happened some days ago that they said it was cloudflare probably masking the S3 Storage service they use for god knows what.

Basically what I think is happening is that your game client is internally trying to access some ark resource via web, it recieves a bad response and your client crash due to that. I doubt file validation gonna help. Probably will fix by either updating or checking if you have some problem in your network (or maybe its the same problem that happened the other day but I would discard given that there would be much more people complaining with a similar crash screenshoot).

Also if you applied the workaround that some ppl gave days ago (editing of c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts to add the hosts arkdedicated.com and sapi2.arkdedicated.com) then remove this changes.

This Bug first occurred 315.15, you Fixed this in 317.2,i enjoy happy 5 day.

but......in 318.9, they are come back!!!!   come back!!!!  Crashing  again!!!!    a ha !!!!!!!
