Askew
In the English language, we have collective nouns which we use to refer to groups of certain creatures. Here are some examples inside the spoiler. Spoiler Apes: a shrewdness Badgers: a cete Bats: a colony, cloud or camp Bears: a sloth or sleuth Bees: a swarm Buffalo: a gang or obstinacy Camels: a caravan Cats: a clowder or glaring; Kittens: a litter or kindle; Wild cats: a destruction Cobras: a quiver Crocodiles: a bask Crows: a murder Dogs: a pack; Puppies: a litter Donkeys: a drove Eagles: a convocation Elephants: a parade Elk: a gang or a herd Falcons: a cast Ferrets: a business Fish: a school Flamingos: a stand Foxes: a skulk or leash Frogs: an army Geese: a gaggle Giraffes: a tower Gorillas: a band Hippopotami: a bloat Hyenas: a cackle Jaguars: a shadow Jellyfish: a smack Kangaroos: a troop or mob Lemurs: a conspiracy Leopards: a leap Lions: a pride Moles: a labor Monkeys: a barrel or troop Mules: a pack Otters: a family Oxen: a team or yoke Owls: a parliament Parrots: a pandemonium Pigs: a drift or drove (younger pigs), or a sounder or team (older pigs) Porcupines: a prickle Rabbits: a herd Rats: a colony Ravens: an unkindness Rhinoceroses: a crash Shark: a shiver Skunk: a stench Snakes: a nest Squirrels: a dray or scurry Stingrays: a fever Swans: a bevy or game (if in flight: a wedge) Tigers: an ambush or streak Toads: a knot Turkeys: a gang or rafter Turtles: a bale or nest Weasels: a colony, gang or pack Whales: a pod, school, or gam Wolves: a pack Zebras: a zeal But what about the creatures of the ARK? Let's see who can come up with amusing and fitting names for groups of ARK's many creatures, try and take their traits and people's general impression of them into account! I'll start, Bloodstalkers are truly foul and unclean creatures. They become friends with you if you offer your blood to them, they stick their claws in your back in order to let you ride them, they eat meat at an alarming rate even as babies by using 2 of their legs to noisily shovel it into their mouths. When a Bloodstalker grabs prey it reels it in and feeds on its blood while it still lives, and then discards the carcass unwanted to rot and fester in the heat.. A festering of Bloodstalkers! Try it out for your favourite, or most hated creature both tameable and not.

I think crush works not only because they have the size to crush you underfoot but also because of their playful and affectionate nature.

Nothing like seeing one flail its arms in the air in anger at being disturbed as it prepares to clap them cheeks. 6 hours ago, Hemplethwaite said: A Hemorrhoid of pegomastax lmao perfect, I hate them with a passion I think it's the way they look back at you as they are running off with your stuff that winds me up the most. The feel of freshly having been wiped, back on the beach with your campfire about to feed your starving self with some cooked meat and out of the bushes comes this unsightly little scrotum of a creature to bag it up and raptor off back into the undergrowth as you give chase, weak and about to pass out from hunger. Hemplethwaite
It may just be me but I find it easier to give a collective noun to the annoying creatures, with so many viable options for each I went for alliteration for consistency ( I know I clearly have way too much spare time and nothing better to do ) An Irritation of Ichthyornis A Maddening of Microraptors A Perturbation of Purlovia An Assault of Allosaurus A Terrorization of Troodon A Chaos of Compsognathus A Tyranny of Thylacoleo
