advice on remainign missions, got at 141/168

So, I'm getting close to complete al missions. I got 141 and I hoipe that soon I'll be able to complete all the hunt-retreive missions, going to a total of 159, still 9 missions short. I made the glitches missions, so that gives me a little advantage. However, I still need 7 more, to be chosen in between

-arena bog alpha

-other arenas beta and alpha

-bloodstalker run beta and alpha

-all other races at alpha

Any advice on which missions should be easier and how to beat them? For me races are really ahrd, I was hardly able to accomplish all betas. In most cases I had to clear the path ahead before starting or some other preparation to make them easier. I see really though to manage even one alpha to be done. Also, most of them give me framerate problems when I get golden circles, not sure if it's vga or server lag.

For the arenas, we got destroyed at I think round 3 of ice arena beta, so we didn't really try any  other beta. We were wearing ascendant armor and had soups, so really no other idea on what to improve... we are 4-6 people in tribe

Also, any advice on fishing missions? I managed betas, but alpha seem though

If you are on a server that allow transfers like many official servers, you can do the following alpha hunts solo with a good giga and saddle:  raptor, bloodstalker, deer, ferox, rex (unintuitively).  I used a giga with 1k damage, 33k health and a 102 saddle and the rage meter never got above half.  Worth noting, for the alpha raptor I used bolas and for some of the others I used traps for the solo efforts.  If you are on a no-transfer server, then you might have to raise some good boss-level tek rexes.  You are fine with yuit-x's and nurse-pigs.

For the others I had to do them with a team, and gigas are bad because the alpha allo, spino & sarco will cause the giga to rage pretty quickly.  So we did the other alpha brutes with a ream of 3-7 with boss level rexes, some with megalosaurus packs at night, daeodon for healing and yuti for buffs.  For the alpha spino, you have to work a little extra hard to only engage it on land.

Some of the races are not impossible on alpha, but they took me a dozen tries or so before I found a good line: I think the volcano races were easiest on alpha, but on the one in the south you need a hazmat suit or something else to protect you from the poisonous gas.  The snow and ocean alpha races are also doable after some practice, but the rhino one took me the most tries.  The kappy bog race isn't bad either on alpha, but I have yet to complete the bloodstalker or skiff alpha races: for me personally they seem unreachable.

Since you have a tribe, the basketball games will be easy to knock out.  For the arena horde missions, I was only able to do them up to beta, but we got slaughtered on alpha.  One waring - in bog beatdown, there is a bug where one person does not leave a body if you fail on alpha so you can't recover your stuff.  Don't bring anything too valuable.

All of the land-based treasure and escort missions are doable solo on alpha with a good giga - I would routinely farm those for hex.  The frog escort in the bog is one of the easiest ones to farm:  28k hex for about 7-8 minutes of no-risk escorting: your giga will not lose any health.  The volcano escort and treasure missions are also easy solo alpha, but your giga might need some healing afterwards so you don't have a fast turn-around time.

I think the hardest mission for me is the alpha turtle escort, at least solo.  I don't have a water tame with a combination of power and maneuverability to get close to completing that one.  Mosas have the power but you need a fast turning radius.  I also had no luck with a squid, and faster tames don't have the power to hang with the creatures that come at you on alpha.  I know some have done it, but it is too tough for me.

I didn't have any problem with hunts. finished bog, snow, volano misisng egge extraction alpha, lunar missing reaper nameless rex and giga, but onyl a matter of time. ocean mising most of them, we left for the last one. problem are races and arenas. turtle escort i guess will be a problem, we already noticed that mosa was not good in gamma

Got at 163/168. Indeed alpha races are no more impossbile. I am not good, but made most of them.

I still find the fishing on the ice bugged. Apart from fishes not spawning, that can be "fixed" by killing a few of them, I have the problem that fish comes very fast and then misses the rod and crashes on ice. Resukt: a lot fo time lost. Does this happen also to others? Suggestions?

On lunar I miss hoover alpha (which might be too difficult for me...), arena alpha (we tried beta today, was easy in 5 with ascendant armors), and giga. the giga one looks really impossibile. Our gigas went in  rage after like 5 seconds. I feel like we need a different strategy but don't know what. Given the damage he does, I was thinking to attack him from above with hoover skiff, but I am afraid no ranged weapon can deal enough damage in time....maybe 5 people on velonasaurs on hoover skiff?

On volcano, we will try arena beta, hoping is similar difficulty to lunar. Egg-extraction alpha we only need to find a moment when server does not lag much. Arena alpha we will consider after beating the beta one...

Artic arena was buggy last time we tried at beta, some dinos (i think mamooths) were making so much pushback that we were fling around like we were on the moon...and people got finally killed in unkown locations and lost invetory...I hope now is fixed, we will try again....

I guess the easiest arena to do on alpha is bog? On our server, only one person did it, use exploit of ferox making damage  from outside arena. Not nice. We are only going for a legit run.

Last but not least, we miss most misisons in ocean. Mosasaur not not dealing enough damage, and are also very difficult to place on target, diven the way the move and that they do not damage a huge area comaring to their dimension. Plus, recent update has increased a lot the difficulty due to megalodon spawns on alpha (plesiosaurus alpha the most). We were now thinking of thusos? Another idea somebody had was to use gigas on the big turtle. Can Gigas breath on it? How many gigas can fit? Can they stand? Will they fall or stay on the turtle when it moves?

Our full missing list, in cse anybody has advices/wants to share their experience, is:

BOG

Spider race Beta
Spider Race Alpha
Arena Alpha

Artic

Arena Alpha

Fishing Alpha

Volcano

Arena Alpha

Lunar

Arena Alpha

Giga Alpha

Ocean

Megalodon Theet Alpha

Dolphin Alpha

Turtle Escort Alpha

we just had a run at volcano arena beta. Most of us died on round 1. Too many dinos and bad weapons. What is worse, seems like that if you die, your inventory is lost. Any advice on this mission? Shotgun and gun don't deal enough damage, as they do not deal area damage. Lunar arena was way easier with sword. Also, they  seem not to hit animals very often.

Well, for the less fighty ones:

Hover skiff takes a lot of practice, a lot of strafing, a good line and some luck ofc :) Took me a ton of tries (on PS4 the framerate just dies every other corner).

Spider race is even worse, and depending on platform might indeed not be possible without a decent framerate. Key is not hitting any trunks and to keep jumping forward as much as possible instead of just using the web things.

Alpha bog fishing: Try moving a raft into the mission area and fish from the raft. Will be quick.

Artic fishing: Again, needs some luck, but eventually you will hit a lucky run. Just another grind.

But after all I feel ya, those are more luck than skill based.

thanks for the suggestion for bog fishing. using crrafted nets and a raft I was able to do it on first attempt.

Still no luck for spider beta, hover alpha, ice fishing alpha. I guess no tricks for those, just grind

volcano arena beta was easy once we found videos that shown that you could climb a rock and shoot from above, still need 4+ people, as in 2 you time out the first 2 rounds. once there, you only need to take care quickly of magmasaurs, rock golems, wyverns, oyncs and phoenix. On beginnign of third round you go down and chaneg weapon for either sniper or rocket launcher (good to have a balanced party). In any case, even with this trick, alpha seems difficult. If nothing, for the timeout on first 2 rounds. Need probably minimum 10 people

ice arena, we just had to reset points, put lots of melee damage, have 3 armors and all soups, then stick to hatchet. maybe 1-2 people take bow from third round. again, we did it in 4, in 5 was easy, but alpha looks though.

ok, after a few attempts I was able to do also hoover skiff race alpha. Did not follow exactly the path suggested, have cut several curves, also did not pass trhough the small hole but above it and then immediately down to take yellow ring, much faster like this. Arrived at the end at 00:00 time remaining.

No luck with spider yet, not even the beta one

Did you manage to do al[ha Giga? We got all of giga to go rage mode after like 2 seconds of fighting.

I heard of someone figuring one of the routes leads near the edge of the mission area where he supposedly was able to place a huge tek turret tower (as in dozens of turrets) and made that work. Just can't find it.

And then there's that:

interesting. Problem is that 48k health thyalcoleo is not so fast to achieve, I think our can get max at 30k. Plus, we are pvp, we have cryopod syckness, would need many people to open cryos

update: have not tried to do the giga one yet, but thyalcoleo works wonderful with white whale mission. Even by using giga it life would go down damn slow, but with thyla was so easy and fast. warnning: does not work on basilosausrus, you still need to take down those 2, but with thuso or beter giga they go down very fast

I tried giga and it seemed to have worked easily.

I will try it too. we managed to do a few more, but still miss 3. If giga works, is still 2 more missing.

I really don`t know for what to do for. Spider race seems beyond my abillity. Fishing on ice alpha too.

arenas - ice and volano alpha I don-t think there is any point to try, we did beta with difficulty. Lunar seems also too much. Is there a chance for bog maybe? Suggested builds for pg? I made some tests in single, with 40 of fortitude it seems to resist pretty well the torpor....how much life, damage and speed? Cause maybe this one is doable....

megalodon tooth: I really don-t know what to use to make enough damage enough quickly down there. I tried with a giga in single player with infinitestats, our ones are born with 255 attack, but I was running out of time. In multiplayer, we would also be slowed down by the fact that to make the giga breath we need a turle below, and moreover the giga runs quickly out of stamina, so tribe members would need to alternate gigas all along the way, slowing down even more the process.

Escort missions: they seem really impossible, the alphin has like 2000 hp and he gets hit for 400 dmg epr hit from dunkelo, that are pretty hard to kill before he touches them. Even with giga with infinitestats, IU was unable to escort him for more than 2 checkpoints :P I guess turtle escort is even worse

Definitely some useful tips from reading this, and some comments on this thread. Haven't tackled genesis yet, since wanted to ascend first (work my way to the map, but Abb is a tough one).

Going to give this map a try now. Ty for useful information on how to approach most missions
