Dino stats after taming

Recently heard a theory thar after taming, most of the points fall into the very stats that was originally the highest while the dino was still wild. Although before that i was told that the points after taming are distributed randomly and the characteristics of a wild dinosaur do not affect this in any way.

Who is right after all?

It's definitely random, don't listen to "theories" that have nothing to back them up.

If you have any doubt about the randomness, go to single player, make a taming pen, use cheat commands to spawn in animals and then use "do tame" or "force tame" to tame them and make a list of all the results you get. If you do this with 40-50 animals and then look at your results you will see that it's random.

Or just do a lot of taming in the game, the more taming you do the more you will see that it's random.
