stats and mutations

hey . i'd like to know about mutation point and how can i have better babies .i have some questions . breeding baby with baby is wrong because i never had good result . after some searching in youtube i want to make sure :

1 for example for Argentavis should i breed new babies with their grand parents (wild tamed ) to get better result ? should i keep continue this process ?

2. should i breed new babies only with their grand parents or should i breed them with different ARGENTAVIS family ?

3 . the highest weight stat on wild ARGENTAVIS i tamed was 630 . should i keep looking for better one or its a nice stat ?

It doesn't matter in what way the dinos are related, incest is usually in your best interest though. You just wanna breed your argents together until they have the best of each stat.

Use a stat calculator such as ark smart breeding to determine if a stats good, I look for around 45 points in a stat. Not sure if you need an explanation for points.

This is the best mutation guide I've seen:

You should mate creatures with stats you want to combine until you get those stats on single creature. inbreeding don't matter. Generations don't matter. Mutations are just stats.

Just mate GoodHealth dino with GoodStamina dino for example. Baby got both stats - raise it. Otherwise discard it.

Don't worry about mutations until you get strong understanding of how breeding in general works. It won't make much sense until you do.

Best advice I can give you - stop thinking in values and start thinking in points. Get Ark Smart Breeding, use it to find how much points in each stat your dino has.

630 weight on argent is ~29 points. You can find better. Aim for 45+ after taming.

if i have REX with patrilineal 20/20 which means we worked on health chain as mutation state and REX with 20k health  . the question is now can i start working to get 20/20 mutation from matrilineal now ? or we only can get 20 point of mutation in one side  ?

is it possible to breed mutated ARGENTAVIS lvl 398  5k health with ARGENTAVIS lvl 15 in official server to making baby with same stat as 398 ARGENTAVIS mutated but low level ? i like to know how far we can go for breeding and making better super babies ?

If you wish, you can continue working on health even after hitting 20/20 on male. Just make sure your females (that you mate him with) have fewer than 20 mutations.

Yes, possible. Tame lowest level you can find and mate them. You can lower overall level by having all stats from low level argent, apart from stats you care about like health in this example, which will be inherited from high level.

Again, watch videos and read articles on breeding. Hardest part in breeding is explaining it ?

The level is the sum of its points + 1, so if every stat is 50 points itll be level 351. You can lower the level by taming a level 5 and using a 0 point stat in the stats that don't matter, like food, oxygen, and speed.

argents don't have a speed stat or points, only stats you would want to remove on an argent is the oxy, then the food.   That will buy you room for more mutations. You could also lower melee if you don't use them to fight stuff off much.

@deedoubleu @Thyme @GrumpyBear so i found As long as you breed a mutated boy with clean girls you can still mutate your dino's stats . but i want to know about the stats for each dino can achieve . for example  what is highest health stat you get for ARGENTAVIS ? can we achieve 50k health for ARGENTAVIS or dire bear or terizilo or managrmr ? of course we can't combine all stats because there is limitation  but can every dino reach to 50k health after hatch with mutation process ?

and my another question is how obviously i can achieve and increase ONLY MATRILINEAL mutation points when my ARGENTAVIS already reached 20/20 PAT . ? i know the markers and numbers in general does't matter but i like to make clean mutation process . for having MAT should i breed mutated girl with unmutated boys ? if it is so its gonna take age i guess ?  . i trying to be mutation specialist and i will be most grateful for learning from your experience .

I've heard that dinos with >255 points in single stats on hatch will get deleted same as >450 levels.

Don't know if it's true, but even if it is,  254 points in hp with 72 levels pumped into it will result in 101606 hp.

If 255 is just another ark's urban legend, then you can hatch with ~375 points in hp which is 27740.

Doesn't matter what side mutations are coming from.

You should follow the good advices from deedoubleu, especially in his first post.

Finding good stats before starting breeding is the most important part IMO. Assuming your max wild level is 150, you should aim for at least 44 in every stat. 46 is a good stat for a flyer. past 48 is where your breeder will shine but it's not so easy to get.

You definitely should find a better weight than 630 which is a very horrible stat for a breeder.

be patient and find breeders that will be Worth your time when breeding.

Argentavis are very easily tamed, so go on, place 2 or 3 traps at your favourite argies spot and tame every 140 + you find. if your spot is good enough you should be able to find all your stats in less than 1 week of playtime.

Don't forget to regulary kill EVERYTHING spawning at this spot with your best mount (preferably a spino i'd say), so you get new wild argies every 15 min or so...

And if you prefer keeping on breeding with what you currently have i wish you good luck and have fun ! Every experience is Always usefull...
