Mesket
Dedicated Server - Login Failed, Connection Time Out from internet Hi, I've been struggling to get my server going for my friends outside my LAN for days already. I've done this in the past and also for other games like Conan Exiles and Avorion without issues but NOW, it seems anyone outside my LAN can't connect. I'm using ASM: my public IP is OK, and ports arer default 7777 and 27015 (aldo did a lot of testing using 27016 as query port) My LAN IP is static and not on DHCP. My port forwarding rules: Firewall rules are on ALLOW for each of those ports, both on UDP and TCP and for all 3 networks Players on LAN connect without issues. Server is Listed on Steam: But players trying to get in get the following message: Is there anything I can try to make it work? I read people recommending to shut down NAT Acceleration but I don't seem to have anything like it on my router. Do I need to set port triggering also? tried on and off with no difference... IanHighlander
Ark needs the next port up too, so if you have it set for port 7777, you need to open both 7777 and 7778 on your firewall.
Mesket
Hi Ian, thanks for replying. They are. If people can connect through LAN ok, wouldn't that rule out firewall issues? Just wondering if I got that right.
Mesket
I finally got it working by changing game port to 7779 and query to 27017 opening also 7780. It's weird, same configuration for default ports don't work but just using other ports it works.
