TRod Posted July 16, 2020 Share Posted July 16, 2020 This is a change I've been hoping would come about forever, so I'm glad to see it implemented; however it doesn't seem to be working on Xbox Nitrado rented servers. It doesn't matter what I change BabyImprintAmountMultiplier to I still get the same imprint I was getting before this was introduced. Before this a Giga would get 6% per imprint. Now, with BabyImprintAmountMultiplier=10, it still gets 6%. I either don't understand how this works, or the Nitrado server isn't working. Anyone experiencing this? Edit: It works now! We good, fam. Not only this would offer much more flexibility and precise results on unofficials, this could also be used on officials to ensure people have enough time to make their imprint. This sound easy to implement with the current system and would be a much more suited fix for strict imprint than that new multiplier in my opinion. Another issue that I've seen reported a lot is species not being able to be imprinted at all during breeding events. For example, if breeding multiplier is 3x, (which is usually the breeding rates of breeding events on officials) any species that usually takes 23:59:59 to mature or less won't have a chance to receive a single imprint because their total maturation falls under 8 hours. A solution to this as we previously discussed, could be to allow that single imprint as soon as the baby is claimed when the total maturation is less than a single interval. First of all, I already said, we tweak the timers for maximum imprint time around the most common/useful dinos on our server to begin with to maximize the imprint window. Believe it or not, many players have been able to achieve 100% for months on almost all dinos and there haven't been any complains.. (other than the Giga interestingly enough). This has since been resolved by implementing the new variable. We don't have an issue now -> but we definitely would if we used your proposal to completely re-think everything around 8-hour increments. Although a standard on official it is completely meaningless for us. Also as I said before, the inconsistency appears to be by design, and should be addressed at it's source if it's really a problem for some players. You would notice that not only this is not what I'm suggesting, but also that the provided data speaks for itself. Let it be a "works as intended" feature just for this one specie. The issue with more percentage per imprint was indeed present with Drakes. Actually, it still is! Seems like although they have a maturation time of (1 / 0.000003) * 1.0 = (3 days, 20 hours, 35 minutes, 33 seconds), their BabyImprintingQualityTotalMaturationTime is set to 133333.000000 (1 days, 13 hours, 2 minutes, 13 seconds) and thus they get 25% per imprint instead of ~9% with default settings.
