It didn't take long for him to crack open the ancient ley lines and start experimenting with the local wild life. Nothing was to big or to small for his nefarious intentions, but his most precious of works was the wyverns he managed to mutate. These wicked creatures were what nightmares are made of and their latent magical abilities made them even more terrifying. Word of his work quickly spread and before anyone knew it the little bay village was booming with magical travelers from all over, it quickly became the melting pot of Zarcadia and easily the realms richest city.
