whoareyou
Playing DLC map takes me to steam page Every time I go to play either aberration or crystal isles, I get taken to the steam page to download the map. But I already have the DLC installed. I have downloaded it already and steam says I have it installed. Linux patch 311.72 Any ideas?

JeffMings
I think I'm having the same issue: Running Ark on Ubuntu 18.04. Has been working correctly for some time. I have all of the "regular" maps, including Genesis and Valguero. After the update, I can't load any maps . All appears fine, and then the Steam Overlay appears, suggesting that I need to install Steam or I need the "base" Ark, which I obviously have. Ark runs under a Windoze partition, so there is nothing wrong with the account. I ran file verification. I have ensured that I actually selected Download for the new Crystal Isles DLC, which is listed as being in my library. Let's get this fixed, please. I would like to play this under Linux again. JeffMings
Addition - Just uninstalled and then re-downloaded / installed Ark. No change. I can only run The Center - all other maps take me to the DLC download page, insisting that I need to install Steam, which, of course, is working and my account is authorized. JeffMings
Another addition- tried the beta - it kicks you back to a MUCH older version. And yes, I have tried downloading the other DLC/maps, but it goes back to the Steam overlay and insists I need to install Steam. This also happened before reinstalling ARK, even for maps/DLC that I had been playing for a long time, like Ragnarok and The Center.
vertinog
Resurrecting this thread because it is still an issue. Has anyone found a solution? I have tired the following: Uninstall Ark, Reinstall Uncheck all DLC download boxes, restart steam and check only a single map Delete all saved data after making a backup of local data
