i have all my setting on high or epic and ark still looks like this, help plz :c

[if u think that u have a solution then PLZ help me otherwise if u just wanna take on my nerves like most of the ones that wrote on this topic talking to me like i was some kind of spoiled brat then please just dont, i've played ark for 1k hours with the worst graphic possible 'cause i didnt had a nice pc and NOW that i actually have one and saw the foilage and fur so pixelated i was really disappointed]

Looks bad? Imo it looks great. Maybe graphics style of ARK just doesn't fit to your taste. ARK is not made in photorealistic style...

lol i'm running mostly low settings due to an old PC. So I used the settings for most optimised FPS.
There is not really a big difference, if yours is truly Screenshots from Epic settings. 

I still think ARK has some nice graphic considering it has some years on the market.

i had a bad pc too so i was running the game on the lowers setting possible. now that i have a nicer pc i would love to actually see the game in a better graphic but for some reasons no matter what i do it doesnt really improve.

You upload screenshots from the Game but not from the settings you are using, What resolution scale do you have?

so it look like crap. yea. so provide a reference where ark didn't look like crap at high or epic.

if you can't find anything else that proves ark's foliage can look better then that's what ark is supposed to be like

also ark works better if its running in english. I've tried this in other languages and things just either don't work right or runs slower.

filtering, for example, doesn't work. and you can expect to use filtering every time you play

also your gpu plays a part in how things should be on screen. its a huge difference if this is running on a 780ti vs 980ti, and even a bigger difference on a 2080s

you can just search on google or watch any youtuber that does play with epic settings like syntac, in his videos the fur looks nothing like mine

besides its not like i choose another language, im italian so ofc when i dwnload a game if there's italian then steam is gonna download the game in my language. i've played in english before, when the game was still really early access and didnt had other languages and after i switched to italian i didnt had any problem whatoever.

i have a amd rayzen 5 2600x and a nvidia gtx 1070, not the most powerfull pc out there but not the worst either considering that ark is 5 years old

Try using your Nvidia control panel to optimize your graphics. The Ark control panel does a poor job determining resolution, and anytime wildcard resets our settings I go strait to the Nvidia panel  and re optimize to get the best graphics.

It looks exactly how it is supposed to look. If you want better you will need a higher res monitor and learn the INI files which is where you drastically change the quality and fps.

dude, i have a 144hz monitor full had? and again i did see others playing in epic and it does NOT look this bad.

umm...youtuber? have you heard of post production?

also there's mods that makes things look better. if you're on official server there's no way you can install mods

ark is 5 years old but it still demands technology from 2030 to look nice.

its only recently with the release of ray tracing stuff when ark starts to perform better

 

and whichever it is...if you want ark to look nice you're gotta be ready to pay a price. lets just say ark has burnt through 1 gpu of mine before, and almost did a cpu until I got a much better cooling system

and you better pray a mod can fix these otherwise you're going to have to fork out a lot of money to get that kind of performance

and here's how it look like on my 2070s. not everything is on epic just whatever I see that doesn't contribute to more stuttering, like shadows are all on low. if you pay attention you can see stuttering in his videos

With all respect your PC is not the same as Syntac's. He has an Intel 18 Core i9 extreme and an 11Gb RTX 2080 Ti and 64Gb corsair vengeance RAM.

He plays on private servers and with adjusted ini 

When you watch his content his videos have been through processing and are then uploaded to Youtube, the quality will not even be the same as what it looks like to him on his own PC when he is playing the game. 

you have seen horses before haven't you? They don't all look like freshly groomed thoroughbreds

I think Arks horses are pretty good, compare for yourself

i never played on official servers, only in single player both vanilla and modded.

sure, he does have a better pc but as i said mine is not that bad either, i do run ark fine and with not much problems and still the fur looks pixelated and jagged. the one from your screenshot looks bad as well, and im not saying that ark's horses are ugly, never said that, its the millionth time that im saying that its the fur that looks horrible and since everything else does have a nice texture and graphic its really bugging me out. the back from the procoptodon too. only the mammals and the foiliage have this problem so ofc i feel like theres some problems with my setting or something
