As I am on console I cant play the mod version of the map and just curious if there is anything I will miss as I don't want to get my hopes up. RageQuitter Posted May 27, 2020 Share Posted May 27, 2020 I reckon rock drakes & basilisks will be removed, drakes are too easy to get on crystal isles anyway, there's only been one update since Extinction released which added owls, gasbags & gachas so think they'll be removed as well, there's no manas or velos anyway, also wouldn't be surprised if they changed Eldritch Isle as well but that's more for performance reasons Isolde was working on Atlas for a while so crystal Isles hasn't been kept up to date and you have to go back to July 2018 for the last major map update so its not like it's full of Extinction stuff Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

RageQuitter Posted May 27, 2020 Share Posted May 27, 2020 Hard to say because the version available is nearly 2 years old apart from one update last year which fixed some bugs and added the 3 Extinction creatures, this is the floating isles where rock drakes spawn and you can see the nests are on open cliffs around 15 minutes in, you just fly in and grab an egg and there's nothing the drakes can do, there's another area in the same biome where they spawn which isn't shown here and looks finished with trees, plants, rocks etc but it's still the same case of grabbing an egg then flying off with no risk, they could make it a no fly zone but that would make the whole area too op in PvP A lot of the map is unfinished so best to wait until they release it and see how it turns out but going off of what happened to SE after Ragnarok released and then what WC did with Valguero I wouldn't be surprised if they removed the creatures that're unique to Aberration & Extinction Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ArkBeachBob Posted May 28, 2020 Share Posted May 28, 2020 ISO confirmed today: no hero creatures from other dlc will stay, so drakes and griffins for sure are gone, the rest will just depend, there will be ab creatures, there will be se creatures, there will be some ext creatures. The map does keep eldrich isle. It will also keep some of its unique creatures other than crystal wyverns. This dlc will be adding a whole lot to official ark, including: new biomes, new creatures, new creature types, and a new boss.... I think there is a lot to be excited about. And yes iso worked on atlas, she also did all of the ocean biome on genesis except the boss arena. She is continuing to work for wc. CI is her baby and she has worked hard to get it out, in a way that will be done, and keep as much of itself as possible. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
