My current server, has very bad lag and roll backs, so I am looking for a new one. I have played both before, and have had my base destroyed in PvP before. Reliable and official do not describe each other, unofficial and non dedicated and lan are like 100000 times more reliable, wondering why the server your on sucks, that’s cus all official servers are slow, laggy, and you lose your character a lot! Goram Posted May 7, 2020 Share Posted May 7, 2020 For my two cents, I'd suggest PvE - which for me is enjoyable and rewarding. In my view PvP is only viable if you're very active, part of a good group, and very prepared to deal with the loss of everything and anything you have worked on without warning. Sugarwhip Posted May 7, 2020 Share Posted May 7, 2020 I prefer PVE since there is a lot of challenges in either case just by surviving and making progress. I also like playing with other people but rather with them, helping out, rather then against. But I guess it comes down to what you like in a game. I wouldnt do PVP without a big tribe to join though and like Goram said you risk loosing everything you put in a lot of time and effort to accomplish. Ark official has lots of choices now with a few speciality server types. Unofficial communities are extremely varied. Something for everyone.
