Any fix coming to the building system?

I have a medium size base, about 3 tiles shorter than a behemoth gate and maybe 7 tiles wider and 8 foundations deep. I was trying to add a wall around and it wrecked a bunch of greenhouse ceilings and ceilings on the other side of the base when I placed a wall (that snap-pointed to a place I didn’t want it and when I picked it up I noticed the other stuff broken). Then I put it down and a behemoth gate was broken. Now I don’t mind farming for a new gate, it sucks but whatever, what I do mind is that I can’t get the gate frame to snap in place where it was before. Now I have a behemoth gate size gap in my base and I’m afraid to put walls up because i don’t know what it will break and a new gate frame won’t go there. 
 

any idea if there are plans to fix the broken building system or am I stuck with not knowing what will break if I build? Why can’t I get a frame in place where it used to be before?

It sounds like a quite specific problem.

Try to make a video to show the problem and report it.

This happened to me all of time.I place block  and walls or sealing start breaking on other side of building, mostly greenhouse.

Just desteoy the thing you put before the gate gate. And re put the gate back simple as that. But you need to grind again for materials
