I think it'd be useful to add a function to troughs, tek and normal, to prioritize what gets fed from troughs so that you could have several set up and one could be specifically for whatever you're raising and the rest could be for everything else. You could set them as Adult/Adolescent/Juvenile and then it would provide that specific set of creatures with food from the trough before the other troughs so long as there would be food for that tame available for it.
