Ark no longer throwing mod mismatch

We've been having an issue the last week or so on our private server where Ark is no longer throwing a mod mismatch. 

Numerous times this week, Eco RP, and dino storage have updated.  Unfortunately unlike in the past, once a player downloads the update, they are able to log into the server just fine and on login, it displays "loading 13 mods" instead of the 14 we use.  They get in game, and of course all the relevant mod stuff is now gone.  This forces us to rollback every time a mod is updated lately.  Why are we no longer throwing mod mismatches and stopping people from logging in and poofing all the items?  Did we change a setting somewhere? This is a relatively new issue since the mesh patches.

 

TL:DR

server has 14 mods

dino storage updates

players are allowed to log in and displays 13 mods loading - admins have yet to wake up and update the server

players are able to get into the server and the updated mod items are now gone from the server for everyone

have to rollback once admins are able to update the server mods to restore these lost items

how do we stop players from being able to log in when they have a newer version of a mod than the server has.  did we accidentally change a setting?

Do you know which mod is causing the problem?

Check the mod's Workshop page and check the forums to see if other people are having a problem with that mod.

Double check the list of mods you have in your config file(s) to check that the list says what you think it says.

Also run a scan disk and (if you're on Windows) run sfc /scannow in an administrator DOS window to check for any corrupt Windows files.

It has happened with both EcoRP mod and DinoStorage v2. 

both mods are listed correctly in the ini and once they're updated via the private server control pannel we're back to loading the correct number of mods.  The problem is these mods are updating and our servers are not throwing mod missmatch, allowing players who have downloaded the mod before we are able to update the servers to get in.  I have a feeling if they're the only person on the server it causes all structures/items that the mod uses poof when they log in. 

we don't have the ability to scan windows on the servers as we use a host.  We can ask them to do that.

Happened again this morning.  Dino storage updated at 7:35 am.  Our players were able to download the mod from steam.  They logged into game and them having the wrong mod version caused all dino storage to poof on the map.  We were once again forced to roll back after we were able to update the mod at 10:30am to restore dino storage.

 

Really want to figure out why it's letting people log in without the correct mod versions.  Any ideas at all?
