balrog
Dying dinos Could anyone please explain me why the second giga has died? Ive lost 3rd giga in a week due to glitches (other 2 were 100% imprinted) I'm to tired with making tickets just to hear "sorry we are aware but cant do anything" three times a week... It's a bug. They happen. It might get fixed. It might not.

Just a reminder that this game cost 60$ dollars.

DeHammer
If you search the forums you'll find all sorts of discussion about Gigas starving despite full troughs or their inventory being full of food as well. I recall that uploading or cryopoding then downloading/releasing can fix.

People have tonnes of problem with cars, computers, and other expensive toys they pay much, much more for. Even with the bugs it has, ARK is great gaming value. Fixing bugs is ROI vs LOE.

Just look at the patch notes. You seem to think fixing bugs is easy, but it really isn't. Bugs can prove to be very hard to reproduce, and even harder to patch without breaking even more stuff. Bugs also have priorities. And while your beloved babies randomly starving can be high on your list, it really isn't that important when looking at the big picture. And every times they fix a bug that introduce another, chance are it get prioritized over it. This is the reality of development and I personally think they overall do a great job of managing such a large game that have so many complex mechanics interacting with each others, etc. Anyways, that said, even if your logs says it starved it doesn't means this is the actual reason it was deleted. "auto-decay" is the default log for adults, while "starved to death" is for babies when a creature is being deleted by the physics. For example, some tames can occasionally auto-decay instantly when they clip into the mesh and the game was unable to adjust them, just like a baby can grow in a structure and starve especially for large creatures that scale very quickly such as Giga. Raise your gigas directly on the ground instead of a foundation/ceiling and you likely won't have that issue anymore.
