RedHeadedStepChild
Older versions of linux server Hi all, I was wondering if there was a way of getting older versions of the linux server, specifically one compatible with the 300.0 version of the client. We have Linux and Mac in our household. Our lan server got updated to the current version and now we can't play on it. Since it seems like we will not get a client update for linux/mac before Christmas, we were hoping to get a little time in with Raptor Claus, even if we don't get any chibis for the holiday. NSW
Well, i thought we wouldn't get an update either... glad to be proven wrong once and awhile. Just got client update to 304.4 on Linux. Check yours and see if you are updated and live again. I also don't think there is any way to downgrade the servers once they update.
glassman2u
Yeah, there isn't really a way to downgrade. What I usually end up doing is NOT updating the server until the client is for sure up to date. That's normally fine, but this last client update actually took the client back further than the accepted server version that was working beforehand. I guess I'll have to script a zip up of the server and archive it for these instances, removing config files and then I might post it here for the affected.
