I still seemingly cannot get this to work. Every single time i try, FTP, or if i download the files from FTP and run the save game, i always either get "content failed to load" or it stops responding all together i even left it for a long while and nothing worked. Is it possible that my computer is not capable of running it? I can open and download steam and play a game called fortify ( its a base build thing for rust) its can run i feel like this should be able too. Is there a more in depth place that explains how to use it maybe im doing something wrong? I *can* get the event map to work, thats it, and it wont refresh without failing it pulls only the data from the day i did manage to get it to work.

today I planned to give it another try for the island map. but for some reason, the savegame now downloads and loads just fine via the FTP option.
I was planning to let it download the map, then save a separate copy of it and load that via local loading. it should also not load if I'm correct. Then I'd try deleting files besides the .ark itself until it loads to find the culprit stoping the loading progress.

but it loads just fine today and I cant tell why it works now, but hasn't for weeks. Its just like the SE map in our cluster that suddenly started working again with your tool.

I'll report when I next have this error and I will keep a backup of that folder o analyze

we're removing old backups normally and only keep backups up to a week old right now, but I was able to find one that stops the loading. I was able to isolate the file that stops the loading and its surprisingly... obvious named for some reason... invalid.arkprofile

attached the file.
I'm trying to find other backups that dont load to check if that file exists there as well. I do not know where it came from and why its suddenly gone. the only thing I can read from that file is the player name Jaz, thats one of our long time players. He logs in daily and plays alot, its not some "stray" logged-in-once player.

Greetz Mirage :)

I saw that MapStructures.json... i'm currently just brainstorming, so please don't spend much time. Its just an idea.

It would be cool to introduce a MapInfo.json which includes:

- Same what MapStructures.json already has (to safe a bit data)
- Includes the current server day
- Include the current server version
- Includes the current daytime morning/afternoon/night
- Includes the current weather idk sunny/rainy/fog/thunderstorm/etc.pp
 

Can you see this mentioned data in the savegame?

Or just export a new one called "ServerInfo.json" or what ever

@HPTD1 - I've downloaded a copy of that profile - will investigate over the weekend. Thank you.

@Elgar - Never really used the training dummy so not noticed. I'll check what's required to populate the equipped items this weekend.

@Altairhalo - What implant data? Sorry if I missed something. Not been on all week so trying to catch up now.

@BoRGaMeS - Thanks for reporting.  I'll check through the commands and get the ones that don't work fixed.

@pleinx - Not sure how much of that information is available.  Certainly the in-game day, maybe time of day - not sure there will be anything about weather or server version though.  You could check by starting a sandstorm and immediately saving it then restarting the server to see if the sandstorm has persisted etc.

If I've missed anything or anybody else please feel free to remind me :)

I was able to get my test server to work but no other servers yet. BUt while i was in it i could not see the boss fights completed on the implant, or notes collected or any of that. IDK if its possible i was just curious if it is something that could be added. We have had a lot of character disconnections, and needing to re apply things to players it would be nice to be able to see what they had (assuming the character is available even in the map to see it it may be in upload or dead or something)

I can see some information in .arkprofile data that could be parsed and used for some of this:

  • PerMapExplorerNoteUnlocks
  • PerMapNamedExplorerNoteUnlocks
  • EmoteUnlocks
  • PlayerState_EngramBlueprints
  • NumChibiLevelUpsData
  • AscensionData (Boss Fights)

Would have to work out how best to represent it on the UI and include in any json exports.

@pleinx - Did some digging and this amused me... hacky "theDayNumberToMakeSerializationWork" - seems to be the actual day number we're looking for in your request.  Nothing on the server other than name and map name.

Hello, I've been looking for a tool to be able to edit my save.
But I still don't know what I'm doing wrong, when I open the file, it just appears like this.

What am I doing wrong?
I don't see an option to continue editing my file, and also, it seems that the application window doesn't open correctly with my 4k screen resolution.

If there is a tutorial on how to use it, so as not to disturb the topic, with a simple question, I can get by with the help link.

Thank you for your help, the problem is actually my windows resolution at 4k with the default resolution scaling at 300%.
Unfortunately I can't find a way for Windows to adjust the window, just changing the interface scale.

I know, thats what i mentioned. You need to set the scale in your windows so something like 100-200% until you can see the "save" button. Or pressing TAB + TAB + ENTER (if you focused the window)

I should really look into resolving this for you high resolution users with scaling.  I've never had capability of more than 1080 on any monitor I have owned so hard to test such things and work out how to fix it properly.

Thanks a lot 🙂 Sad but intressting where they store the other ingormation.
Would be still create to have the have the current dayOfTime in some JSON

Leave it with me.  Might be a couple days before I get a new release out as trying to cover everything you guys have raised or requested.

  • Already fixed the loads when .arkprofile doesn't contain all expected data.
  • Re-worked window minimum sizes and resizing to allow them to be seen better (hopefully) on scaled resolutions.
  • Loading of Oasisaur pool inventory resources.
  • Loading of Training Dummy equipped items.
  • Fixed player tab copy/console commands not populating with selected player data.

Still investigating addition of your server day / time of day and the various "Implant Data" requested by @Altairhalo - Player engrams and emotes already displayed in the Player view - I just forgot about that myself :)

Just a quick FYI - the next release comes with breaking changes for those that use the output of my json exports and may need to adjust any other programs / apps you use.

Instead of the file just being a list of whatever you have chosen to export it will now be included as a "data" property of the newly added main object - which will contain the map name, in-game day and in-game time information. 

After reviewing how I would handle this for @pleinx it made sense to include it in each output file so it's easy to identify the map the export came from in each case.

Example:

I like that idea 👍In this case you should be more flexible in the future.

Hi Folks,
Struggling to get this to work for ASA saves. Im using version 5.0.0.11 and I have the .Net Framework 6.0.31 installed.
I can load up an ASE save no problem but when I try to load an ASA save I get an error at the bottom of the main screen saying "Content failed to load. Please check settings or refresh download to try again"
I am hosting the server on a second PC so have the save files local. In the settings I am using the second option for Savegame file (.ark). The filename field I browse to the ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArks\TheIsland_WP and select TheIsland_WP.ark and leave cluster folder field blank. Offline name I just stick in Island for my reference and RCON details left blank then hit save.
I also tried with my Scorched Earth save and Center save but same error. 

Any advice?
