FullCrownKing
Cannot get the game to play. I made this account for the sole purpose of asking the actual ARK community if there is a fix for this yet. So every time I attempt to start any server, it loads for a few seconds then crashes. Stating Something about eu4 shoooter having crashed then a laundry list of errors underneath it. I have attempted everything i can find. Updating my drivers. Validating files. Deleting a select few then validating. Uninstalling-reinstalling-validating-found missing files-validate-run game-crash. Anyone know what the hell is happening here? Would love to play this game but for some reason, it refuses to load properly.
GrumpyBear
Have you tried launching the game straight from the install folder instead of from steam? Also what kind of machine are you working with? What's your hardware ?
FullCrownKing
I Have not tried that, reinstalling and trying now. Also 16gb of ram, i7, nvidia gtx 1060.
Archaole
If you post the crash log it "could" narrow some things. The crash log should go to your clipboard. Also posting your specs as steam sees them. Sometimes steam gets its wires crossed. Its in steam under help, system specs

Archaole
Well we did get a background check and well... but is it unofficial, official and single player? Personally ive had some stupid issues with all of them. The fix isnt always apparent
FullCrownKing
All of them, cant log into a single game. https://imgur.com/fFdKJh0 is the link to the error message I get.
GrumpyBear
Ignore the validate files if it says 2 files to fix, thats not the problem. Those are just files that get changed for user settings after its downloaded, it will always fix 2 files if nothing is wrong. If you see more files than that, then there was something wrong. I'd start w/ official or single player, or non-dedicated first to get it working. unofficial servers will have mods that could take too long to download while you are trying to connect causing those connections to fail. I'd first try running it on the low end settings or even extremely low memory settings. If it can run on one of those, you can turn things up after. I don't have any ideas other than that right now. Larkfields
Might be worth doing an sfc /scannow in an administrator DOS prompt to check your Windows installation. I have NVidia drivers version 441.20, which work for me (with a GTX 1060 6GB like yours).
FullCrownKing
Nothing works. Still crashes to the shooter message. Guess im out of luck on this game. Anyone know how to get a hold of tech support? if that is a thing one can do.
FullCrownKing
Imma bump this in hopes to get an answer. If its violating some forum rule then just have an admin delete it.
GrumpyBear
Did you try running the game from the exe and not steam? Someone before was having a problem and by going straight to install folder worked
