Your thoughts on these changes/features?

Tinkering with my server settings and wanted to know how players felt about them in general 

 

1. Death beacon locator? Do you love it in Ark or do you miss the hardcore aspect of no beacon

 

2. Third person view. Was having only first person more challenging

1. Dying is just aids without the death beacon locator, been playing since late 2015 and man, the death locator was a really good QOL feature

2. There isn't much of a difference in terms of difficulty in my opinion

Having played the game before the death beacon was introduced, I certainly dont miss the hardcore aspect of rummaging around for the brown bag.... could never find my stuff.. I agree the death beacon was such a good QoL feature.

I just cant get used to 3rd person view, it just feels wrong playing like that. Not sure about it in terms of difficulty.

Both of these features are great the 3rd person option makes it much easier to build i still mostly use first person view in actual gameplay except when im on a dino i switch from and to alot.

The death beam is useful.  I think newcomers appreciate it the most.
I prefer first-person view while walking and third-person view while riding.  Landing a flyer is loads easier in third-person view.

Great feature, I would never play on a server that was missing it.

Great feature. Playing entirely in first person is nausea inducing.
