Unfortunately it isn't always that simple. I have looked around and the closest to a workaround is a several step process of saving before everything in preparation for the crash. Plus the settings, making sure they are off since it is counter intuitive. Also, I am having the problem with the PS4 version, for the record. I haven't tested it on PC. This is my first year I’ll be playing during the event. Last year it lasted 25 hours for entire event (25 hrs due to the end of Daylight Savings Time. If I remember correctly it was 8x within 6 hours of the event starting which is at 12PM Eastern but that is completely donation dependent. Will the increase rate affect everything in the game? Also, will we start from 2x with the current event, or will it drop to 1x and start from there? TheWylde Posted November 1, 2019 Share Posted November 1, 2019 This is a good question, but if last year is any indicator, donors will bring the multiplier up above 2x within the first hour or so. Last year, 8x was hit within about 6 hours of the event starting. So, it won't be too terribly long before the multiplier goes above the FE3 event rates, plus, taming rate is impacted by the charity event, whereas it is not affected by the Fear Evolved event rate boosts. So, that's another huge plus for the charity event! Good luck out there, and if you can, throw a fiver or a tenner to help the cause; FOR THE KIDS!! ? They will also be announcing it (usually) on the stream. After the 24 period was up last year, they also gave us the rest of the weekend (until Monday) with a 4x rate as a bonus. Especially those raising tames like giga, racer, squids, etc that are essentially for PvP, but it also shows a burst in fresh players. I lost mine ascending on the Island map October 7th. I had not known about the bug before then, but then found out it was a pretty well known one with the closest thing to a workaround being a series of steps to save in-between in preparation for the crash that happens.
