covenantgrunt
Wyvern battles are about picking the enemy rider. Out maneuver them or wait for them to run out of stam. You dont want to waste your stamina using the breath attack. Also wyverns being immune to same element type breaths make it even more clunky. Generally you dont want to get into wyvern vs wyvern battles. Use griffins to counter wyverns, they are faster and mpre agile, and can use shotguns or fab snipers to melt wyverns from distance. A wyvern will most of time lose a 1v1 against a high level griffin with competent rider. Griffins are your primary air supremacy dinos. Wyverns are for ground attack, in which they excel very well. DmpTrkDrvr
The best Wyvern to fight another Wyvern is the same type.. that way the breath attack doesn't work, and to do damage would require a bite attack.. the only exclusion would be the poison which has the advantage of being able to hit the rider and not just the mount, unless the mounted player has a gas mask equipped. RipRavage
Best is lightning, highest damage output and it can melt both wild and tamed wyverns in actual combat without being touched if you learn proper strafing. Poison is runner up because it can easily kill riders off of their tames with its poison attack. Fire Wyvern is the worst out of the three canon Wyverns as it is only good for fighting Alpha Wyverns(which lightning can easily do) and role play.
