GrumpyBear
Then it might not be corrupted files on steam, just a bug they need to patch. I mean, it did happen on 2 computers at the exact same moment. That's less likely an install specific issue.

Unless someone can explain how when uninstalling BattlEye and not reinstalling it I still got the issue. i donno, on mine it was defiantly battleye causing the json error, after unistalling it and reinstalling it, i haven't gotten one more json error on my side anymore, seems like it may be multiple things causing the same issue. Sorry it didn't work for you.

If you don't flip over and close it out it 100% stops your stream/sync for the game and will throw you out. I don't think it's battleeye, because I uninstalled it a long time ago and don't use it. battleye hasn't done it in awhile, but you can tell if battleye is going to, you'll end up with two ark icons in your start bar when arks started up, one will be battleye, the other ark, if you don't restart ark you'll start getting the battleye ones coming. If your not seeing the two icons, its most likely steam causing it.

SuranapparWottan
Server Problems with ark help wanted. Hi I'm running out of options on what to do. But as of PC version 312.57 of Ark, ouer server hangs as the server has loaded. I myself get Invalid Json Line 1 Char 1, as soon as the main menu of Ark shows. For my PC I have Uninstalled all of ark, even deleted my settings / save folder, cleaned the download chache. But the error remains. It seens to remain without mods as well. The Server For now I'm now running on a fresh one, still problem, i am trying to back saves one at the time to check. But I do not think this will help either. EmberStar
I just got this today while playing. I'm in singleplayer (so it's not necessarily network related) and I don't even have BattleEye installed. (So it's not necessarily a BattleEye problem.) The error popped up in the middle of playing, but now it pops up when I try to start the game and it instantly crashes to desktop. Has anyone *ever* figured out what causes this or how to get rid of it?

Can't even launch the game now, it pops up with this same exact error every time. No it is not Display related. No it is not Video Driver Related. No There was No Ark update. Rebooted main pc, still get the problem. This is happeneing on two seprate pcs, two seprate accounts, Each with their own copy of ark. Launch the game. Get to menu and BAM error message, then crash message. The other pc hadn't even been played on in almost a week, and the last time it was played on it worked just fine. Being that this is happening on two seprate pcs at the same time on two seprate accounts it seems to point to something Wildcard has done on there end with their Networking Update, least that would be my suspicion, as two seprate accounts shouldn't be having the same bug at the exact same time unless its direclty Network Related. And before anyone asks, YES, ALL OTHER NETWORK GAMES PLAY FINE, This is a ARK Issue.
