Human123Tribe123
Hello, I have infrequent crashes all with the same line. As far as I know some memory adress which doesn't exist gets called and causes the crash. Thats just my noob idea though. I have 29 crashes in my log folder reaching back to early 2018. Every single one has the same lines. Please look into these crashes and help me fix it. I tried multiple things, nothing helps. Low memory mode seems to cause more crashes but it could just be random and I didn't keep track. Newer crashes was in normal mode with -nomansky -sm4, I don't think this is related. Ark is run as admin. Complete crash reports as attachment. All Crash reports look similar, ending with something like this: Spoiler ShooterGame.exe!FRunnableThreadWin::GuardedRun() (0x0000000140d3a6a8) + 8 bytes [h:\trunk\engine\source\runtime\core\private\windows\windowsrunnablethread.cpp:26] kernel32.dll!UnknownFunction (0x00000000772f59cd) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] ntdll.dll!UnknownFunction (0x000000007745385d) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] ntdll.dll!UnknownFunction (0x000000007745385d) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] Spoiler ShooterGame.exe!UnknownFunction (0x00000001405d6e86) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] ShooterGame.exe!UnknownFunction (0x00000001405d6d48) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] kernel32.dll!UnknownFunction (0x0000000076e559cd) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] ntdll.dll!UnknownFunction (0x00000000770b385d) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] ntdll.dll!UnknownFunction (0x00000000770b385d) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] How can I fix this? Let me know if you need the .dmp files as well. Thank you. Sorry to post in general but PC / Steam has no technical support section and I didnt want to post in Xbox. 09.06-08.16.34.crashstack 09.06-04.57.08.crashstack 06.20-04.28.50.crashstack 06.16-04.05.56.crashstack 06.13-04.18.33.crashstack 05.28-19.04.34.crashstack
Plum28
Have you tried validating your files in steam?
GrumpyBear
There’s 2 things to check that fixes most problems, are your graphics drivers up to date? Nvidia releases new ones monthly at the least. You’d be surprised how many people do not update them. secondly, validate files through steam, right click game title and select properties, go to local tab and click on validate. Yes several times, the last time is a while back but it also didn't help against the crashes, I do the next tonight. My graphic driver is up to date, it crashes with newest and with older drivers. Does anyone here understand what exactly the log is saying and may even understand the .dmp files? All fixes you can google I have tried at some point. Human123Tribe123
If someone knows 100% this issue is coming from a weak or broken component I can act uppon this and may upgrade. My impression is you are guessing though. Anarki
I have been having intermittent but regular ARK crash issues for the last 12 months but this weekend I finally did some full on testing after I had rebuilt and reinstalled my entire system - it turned out to be a faulty RAM module. If you are on Win 10, you can use the Windows Memory Diagnostic, its very easy to run - just search for it in your Windows 10 search bar. Run it and it will tell you if there is a hardware fault detected. If you are using 2 sticks, remove one and run the test and then remove that one and test the other. Hope this helps narrow down your issue. It only takes 20 mins but saves a lot of other time and hassle.
