The filename is called "out.jpg". I thought about some kind of "odd men out".

In every line there is one element that has a spark in a different direction (beside some in the same direction and some without any spark). Maybe take the color code of every odd men.

I think we have to type some part of each line comma seperated in the command box.

RECOVERED MESSAGE

[LOG_TRANSMIT] I found a few behavior sub-routines in some sort of genetic archive I was able to access.
[LOG_TRANSMIT] To integrate them I need you to jump through some hoops.

Can we have a clue please WC seems this one is too much for us all :(

I've been lightly following this, so I'm not 100% caught up on everything.  I don't know if this is related or just coincidence, but if the title of the expansion is indeed "Genesis", it could potentially be a biblical reference.  If you look at Genesis 8:8 (August 8; date of when the countdown timer ends), it reads "Then Noah sent out a dove to see if the waters had receded from the surface of the ground."

Genesis 8:9 reads "But the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned to him in the ark, because water still covered the surface of all the earth. So he reached out his hand and brought her back inside the ark."

People have been asking for a water map for what seems like... forever.  Noah's Ark and this DNA clue seems relatable, but I could be completely wrong here.

it just makes me think that perhaps all the element isn't gone at all

it isn't, abberation at the end of extinction cut scene can be seen, however it's crashed and likely is spreading more corrupted element everywhere. rockwell may still be alive as well as you can MAYBE hear him do some sort of growl, atleast you hear something.

So, did a bit of rearranging and flipping to make the strands line up. The results are very interesting...

https://imgur.com/a/KFvT8oY

There's clearly something missing from strand 5... exactly 8 bases.

And there's clearly something special about the marked bases. Witihn a strand, all marks are the same colour except the first.

Next stage is lots of decoding, especially experimenting with interlacing the "sides" of the strands so they follow the cross-overs.

thanks a lot, this must be alot of work. what do you mean with cross-over?

Where the strands twist, you probably need to flip the side you are reading the code from. That would follow how real DNA works.

I guess text versions would help:

Hello all, new to the forums but I've been following these decoding efforts for some time now and wanted to share what I've been working on and weigh in with some conclusions. ?

First I will say that I'm not sure either of what needs to be done to decode it, but after working a bit with the data I have noticed that the 6 strands have a similarity in the amount of Marker Bases (the bits sticking out of the sides). To see it it's necessary to undo the twisting of the strands to make sure that you can see which side the Markers are actually on. As I don't have access to any automated tools I did this in plaintext format which I will include now, sorry about the lack of guiding colors or better visual representation:

As we can see, each straightened strand has 3 markers on each side (up and bottom) and much like their twisted version they can still be aligned, except that now it would be possible to superimpose some of them so that the markers are either on top of each other, or on opposite sides of each other without overlapping.

To try to work a bit with the data I have also been considering the base pairs as if it was a binary code which is included in the center of each strand, and an inverted version for comparison underneath just in case the wrong values were assigned in a strand. One thing I noticed is that once you align the code using the markers the binary seems to match perfectly except for a few differences here and there, while others are completely different. So far I have not had much result with that as most of it throws out gibberish once converted but maybe it will help others with a fresher perspective.

I also noticed that difference in strand 5, as if some of the bases form strand 3 (which is longer) must actually belong there but no luck trying to rearrange them so far, it's good to keep in mind though.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility. After all, someone else pointed in another thread that the new video at survivetheark.com/g currently shows symbols that could be assigned to the bosses. In the upper rings there's what appears to be a sequence similar to the summoning of The Island's bosses (there's glimpses of what appears to be the Broodmother Arena, briefly the Megapithecus arena and then the Dragon arena, followed by what looks like the sun's rays breaking through water, so the ocean?). It has the same effect as what you see while waiting to be teleported over to the boss rooms, maybe what we are doing right now is genetically engineering a new creature. Perhaps something big.

I'm gonna take a wild guess here---emphasis on wild---and assume that this might be a whole new game entirely, like a manager of ARKs or something in the style of games like Tropico or Jurassic World Evolution.

This is only because I legitimately can't figure out what would be a new, interesting premise for another DLC. The Island covers lush, tropical places, Scorched Earth deserts, Aberration bioluminescent/underground/sci-fi horror stuff, and Extinction is TEK-heavy and wasteland-y, with little holdouts of other biospheres.

Where could they possibly go from here? I'm not sold on them doing an "everything is here!" DLC, and since Atlas is a thing, I'm ruling out a purely ocean-based DLC. Well that and those new images aren't just all aquatic. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, and the theme covers something that isn't just the dominant terrain and the challenges that come with them.

As a side note: I remember some interviews before Extinction was released that talked about how Extinction would talk about things like "why dinosaurs" and things like that, but obviously we never got that. I'm banking on the possibility of these deep-reaching story elements being cut from Extinction for whatever reason and put into Genesis?

I dunno, I'm just rambling at this point. Believe me I'd love to be proven horribly wrong and this is some great new DLC on the horizon.

Sorry , but nope, i'm i the Brood arena, and there's nothing that matches this "orange tower" image.thumb.png.d5bdea31e31a9f2fd033a79623f7aaca.png prehaps try in the sulfure fields of extinction. Or somewhere in aberration.

Sort of. Take a look at my previous post for an image with all the text in.

I also tried to post the text itself but it says it is hidden - I assume waiting for moderator approval.

Edit: Check up a few posts for the full text.

I think I might have an idea of what’s happening. At first I thought the name Genesis was referencing the beginning of the Arks. But what if it’s referring for us to look out at other mods. Especially now that the countdown seems to be showing elements. What if this is a new Ark forming with genetically enhanced creatures with elemental abilities.. some mods with the word Genesis included in their name have creatures like I’m referring to. The genetic codes in this thread, the talk of the simulation starting up. It’s just got me thinking.

I believe this is some new Ark simulation we are being downloaded into with creatures that have elemental abilities like some unofficial mods already. Extinction already played with enhanced creatures that were altered by element. These new creatures on this ark could be altered by the element in whatever environment it is they are in. We may experience caustic, fire, ice, water, or some other element. I’d imagine there would bosses infused the “elemental element” of each biome or zone.

*edit* I’m beginning to get too excited about the idea and thinking too much into it maybe.

Maybe we are traveling to Arat Prime where the Ark program started. But we are going to discover the element is called element because humans first started infusing it into genetically modified creatures for war giving them elemental abilities like the snow owl and the Mana’s? And we kept enhancing the creatures and creating bigger and better beasts of war until they became too intelligent and too enhanced to control. They could have took over the planet and became the Titans we fight on extinction. Maybe we added something too messy into the genetic code that corrupted them and became the hive minded elemental element we face now?
