Do hide sleeping bags block structure placement?

My situation:

I play on a cluster and have a main base on Exctinction. Valgurero Just opened up and I went to make a small base there. The Admins have a very strict structure no-blocking policy and will demo / codewipe violators.

Between my base and the Obelisk are very dangerous critters.

My Idea is to place a sleeping bag near the obelisk so I can die, and re spawn there to get to the Obi and transfer back to Ext every time i need to check/ refresh my base.

My worry is that if sleeping bags do indeed block structure placement I could be penalized for it.

 

Kind of on the same topic, Does logging in anywhere on a map refresh my structures? or do I have to actually be in a certain range of my structures?

Well I was told that if they find that it violates the structure placement rule (blocking players with random structures placed in map i.e. pillaring) I will receive a strike against me for every bag discovered.

I dont think sleeping bags block placement unless you are trying to place right on top of it, but I may be wrong, you could ask someone to help you test it. Also you have to be at least in render of your structures to reset the demo timers, not just logged in to the map.

Just make a raft with bed, doesn’t block structures

I did some testing and found it's as Cowgirl said. They only block structures that clip into them.
