duviousmax
Electrical Components over water I've been on Ark going on 4 years now. Never really messed with water that much. I'm building a water pen and cannot get my lights to work when placed on foundation or ceiling when it's over water? What am I missing?
Oli4
Could you show us a screenshot of what happens?
Sphere
I thought you were talking about my computer. Just 24 hours ago water leaked onto my graphics card. Good thing it was turned off. But yeah in-game, I went with the option of going underwater with a few pods. Living under the sea is beautiful! But in regards to over water, uh? I have lights above water. I have a bridge to join 2 sections of land, and thus am required to have lighting to illuminate the path to make it look beautiful. On top of that, there's a girl on my server that is using stock lighting and structures from the base game for a water pen, out in the ocean. But it's not working for you? Might need more information to figure this one out.
GrumpyBear
Could be too low to the water? I know my tribemate tried to set up fridges that were slightly in the water and they would not power up.
duviousmax
That was it. If the gen or turbine or an electric component was on a foundation that was close to or touching the water it would not up. I moved to a ceiling only inches above the water and it worked. Thanks for for the feedback!
