LuckyTheOtter Posted June 27, 2019 Share Posted June 27, 2019 Getting Polymer: An Ark Story Needed polymer Got polymer As I land I stare at the things before me I load arrows one after another Instantly killing my prey as to not alert the others I move on The club has broke I require more wood Ice sheet after ice sheet I travel The club has broke on the bones of my prey They run, terrified of the fate that awaits them They know that the water will save them But they are in the middle of an ice sheet Their legs can only run so fast Only a hatchling remains He stares, waiting to join his fallen comrades And then, out comes the club Every smack slowly breaks it Til' the bones of the victims take their tole The club has finally broken again Over the body of a hatchling It was barely the size of the handle A large colony was found I counted at least 20 5 were newborns And those were the best for what I needed And the cycle repeats One after another arrows are fired Each and everyone of them lodging themselves into the skulls of the unfortunate The arrows are removed as I walk For they allow the resources to leak The smallest of the hatchlings is smaller than the arrow inside of him They walk in the water as if they know But the kills are too quick And they never know Even as I club their children in front of them, they do not know I stare around me And I see what I have brought Is this worth it? Committing a genocide All for what? Industrial equipment Then I think of the time I'll save It reminds me of the job I must do So I continue I bash the bodies and bones I have obtained 570 of the sticky, chunky, substance Though only half the bodies have been turned to a pulp The air grows colder I use the meat of their young to survive The smallest hatchling provides the most of the precious meat That being 6 I cook them Slowly And then it is back to the club The colony is gone And it is now night I return home Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
