CrazyHermit Posted June 19, 2019 Share Posted June 19, 2019 Steam on Mac not updating to 297.14 So I realize I'm probably the only Ark player actually using an iMac to play, but it is what it is. Everything's going fine until the last update. Steam doesn't seem to find it. I've verified files, uninstalled and reinstalled Ark, reinstalled Steam. Nothing seems to do it. Any ideas? It's not your machine or software, they just haven't released the pc mac patch yet. So even if you don't want to play Valguera, you can't actually play anything until it's released... ? Steam shows all my history and hero list but none of this is displayed in the game. My last played session and favorite lists are also not available. Patch 279 is not updated for MAC users it seems like a waiting game now. I really hope that I don't have to leave my clan and start the game from the beginning ! Rybet Posted August 9, 2019 Share Posted August 9, 2019 Mac Update? Why no word of the update for Mac users? We are used to our update being delayed but you can at least give an ETA. I've been with Ark since week one and would like some sort of response. Just seems like Mac users are always left in the dark. No Twitter responses. No forum responses. Any news is helpful. TechZero Posted August 10, 2019 Share Posted August 10, 2019 I suspect it was moved by a moderator who don't have any more answers than we do but it is nice to have everything related in one place. This whole situation of having to wait for a client update is a huge oversight on WC's part. Especially where you have people on Mac and Linux who are hatching, taming and raising and are potentially losing a significant amount of time and work. I hate to think about what is happening on PVP servers where there's no chance to defend yourself. I'm thankful that I am still early game and more focused on building at the moment. DarkMavrik Posted August 12, 2019 Share Posted August 12, 2019 Welcome to wild card not caring about the community, this if you didn't know is a perpetual habit of theirs, at least they are so lazy only the volunteer mods will come by and censor some of the forums. But I can assure you all, that this is a regular thing for mac and Linux users, you may get the update about the time all your dinos have died and base decayed on a multiplayer server if we are lucky. DaWoulfe Posted August 12, 2019 Share Posted August 12, 2019 When they finally get us updated I urge everyone who lost their Dino’s/based to put in tickets to get them replaced. Of course if you had an imprint you are screwed out of that, also all the stuff in your base. Not to mention the nice 4x weekend we just missed as well. I wish WC would grow some balls and at least acknowledge this problem and communicate with us rather than ignoring it.
