Can oviraptors be made to pick up tamed dino's eggs.

Very few people have ever seen an oviraptor holding an egg, to the point that it's a myth now that the oviraptors can pick up eggs and hold them in its hand and inventory

They would get much more love if you could leave them on wander and let them pick up unfertilised eggs from your dinos

I'm fairly sure that this dino was supposed to collect eggs when it first came out. 

It would be good if they finally add it in.

Should definitely come, it doesn't make sense that they pick up wild ones and not tamed ones anyway. Would definitely make the game better

we need something to gather eggs for us.  let the over rapter auto gather them or add a item collector in the tek tear

Or. Maybe they make it so that there’s a special food used to basically fuel the ovi and if you don’t have this food maybe you can use small eggs as fuel one egg fuels ovi for an hour

they would also need to remove dinosaur collision for the oviraptor, give it extreme egg weight compression, possible make it build "egg piles" that are like beaver dams where they store eggs.

aas far as it eating eggs, it already prefers meat once tamed, like most other things that have wierd preferred taming foods so as long as it is in trough range it will be fine. even if it isn't they already prioritize low value eggs over large ones.

Excellent idea, I hoped for a long time that this update would come, because at the beginning and with the dino's card, it was the idea that I had made myself on the usefulness of this dino

With the Oviraptor is there any way to make it be able to pick up your tamed dino's eggs, you could increase the weight stat and with the dino leash, you could set it to an area where your tame dinos are dropping eggs and it can just wander around picking them up so you don't have to stay in the area and watch for them.

Doesn't sound bad, but instead of a making a new food they could just add 1 from prim plus and have it designated for oviraptor collection fuel.

It would be great if they would allow them to just hold the eggs in their inventory.

to humbly add to this it would be neat if they either didn't suffer weight penalties for eggs, or more realistically they could generate "egg piles" kind of like beaver dams that they would store the eggs in nearby where they are working.  You'd also have to turn off their clipping with other dinos so they don't get stuck in them.

yes, makes no sense that am "egg raptor" cant pick up eggs ( just like the dung beetle that cant pick up poop, literally!)

The problem is that Oviraptor eat the dinosaur eggs you need.

I have an idea to solve this problem. It quotes from my post：

Oviraptor

- Can be equipped with a eggpack（like Hyaenodon Meatpack） ,if it equip it, a folder will be created in the inventory.

Egg weight reduction 50%

It will not eat the eggs in the eggback unless it is very hungry

- It can pick up any unfertilized eggs and put them in the eggback
