qol Add show range for troughs (Tek and normal)

Allow an option when placing or once placed to toggle show range on troughs this way we can place Dino's around them or litter our base with them and not have any Dino's out of range. The mechanic exists with Dino leash or Tek generators, just needs implementing into the radial menu for troughs

Good idea, makes a better building in the bases and not more then needed.

This would be so useful, atm we paint the floors or place fence foundations to mark the "death zone" outside of the trough's range.

they just need to rework the trough icon above dino's head. first, realign the other symbols from stacking in the same location. the mateboost heart-sign for example makes it hard to read the other, and vise versa. once you clear that, you can start tweaking the actual icons. for troughs though, i'd like a gray version for no-food cases and obviously a colored version for when there's appetizers. not hard to implement and doesn't require you to add electronics to a low-tier item.

Like the idea.. just an FYI.. if you place a dino leash on medium range it's only one foundation smaller than the tek troughs range. Place a DL directly center of your TTs and you have a big red circle showing you, and locking dinos well within, feeding range.

I also like the idea of an electrically powered trough that is mid-range of the standard (60 slots) and tek troughs (100 slots & much slower decay rate when powered).
So create a refrigerated metal one that holds 80 slots, powered by a regular generator or wind turbine, and it's decay rate is slightly slower than the standard troughs but slightly faster than tek troughs.

Great suggestion I know we have talked about how nice it would be to have in game.

To go along with this, having the ability to number the troughs as to which order the dino's consume from them would be helpful in monitoring consumption.

This is a good idea although a Tek trough has the same spoil timer as a regular fridge (100x)  at the moment so a refrigerated trough would need to have less then a fridge but more then a hyaeana and meatpack with salt (16x) to make it a viable option. I feel anything less then 60x would rarely be utilised other then by tribes progressing towards endgame, but then that type of player would probably take 32x spoil time over regular troughs

That's a great idea,  I would also like to see another tier of trough between the regular one and the tek trough, why can't we have a refrigerator trough or something, regular ones spoil very fast and I'm still working toward tek.

I would love to see tek range of feeding through as now I got to paint the foundation to count how far the distance of my feeding throughs are

Range would be a great addition to the trophs as it's a bit tedious to know currently and it can be risky to trust the current system where any troph in range of a tame puts a trough symbol above it. 

At the very least would be nice if the symbol only appeared to tames that can actually eat food from the troughs so you can know which ones are getting food or not.

what about being able to include or exclude dinos from troughs like with the tek turret ,

this way you can set up say a feeder full of fish meat and have is set to just feed otters., and sweet vegie cakes for snails.

we currently have to move the otters well away from another dinos , more buildings more lag .

the ring would be easier to see i guess but the dinos have a trough icon on them when they are within range.
