1 Add a single player option to configure items stack amounts. I know there is a mod for that on pc and server have that option, why not on single player.
2. On single player transferring between maps is annoying, you have to upload all the things you carry and the stack sizes don't help at all. Make it so you can Transfer your character as it is and it's inventory. Something like it is on a cluster server, even if you have to log out and load the other map it is way easier to download.
