Remove Parasaurs

NhumRufio

Suggestion

If not completely remove then I would suggest making some of the following changes:

-Reduce the range of which the parasaur detects

-Reduce the range of which the pararsaur notifies

-Remove the "XX parasaur has detected an enemy" at the top of your screen and leave us with the red dot.

-Remove turret mode and have the parasaur only work if it is being mounted and using right click.

-Only detect enemies that are in line of sight, still see people in the mesh but could not have parasaurs in a 1x1 box. Would let us knock it out/kill it.

-Make the red dot an egg hat.

Discord bots and cave meta sucks and parasaurs are big contributors to that

he parasaurs are true they are a bit annoying, but that is their only use in the current game.
What I propose to level it up would be:
the parasaurs can not detect an enemy if they are taught in a box
the parasaurians will have the watch mode instead of the turret mode this will change its position and will be more attentive to detect.
you can have several parasaurios to have them as alarm system the more level will be the main alarm.
a parasaur is guided by sound so explorations, roaring gunshots, howls or enemies sprinting, swimming or flying will call your attention when this happens it will stand up and look where the ear originated this will have a kind of detection bar if you look at it with a telescope when this bar fills up, it emits an alarm sound that if you are close to it will stun nearby enemies that alert the other parasaurs that will mark you on the radar and the dinosaurs and the turrets will go for you
a parasaur can detect if you step on a noise alarm
A parasaur can not detect or alert if it receives the impact of a smoke bomb or if it receives an accurate shot on its crest.
the shootings with suppressor, arrows and harpoons will not alert parasaurs but will draw your attention to a lesser extent.
in this way if you give an accurate shot on your crest or you give them a smoke bomb you can pass them or kill them unnoticed the only thing you need is a good strategy

A parasaur can not detect or alert if it receives the shock of a smoke bomb or if it receives an accurate shot on its crest for 12 seconds with a 6-second cooling.

Parasaurs should totally still be in the game. Maybe a whole tlc/overhaul of the parasaur could be cool. They're very useful as early tames, being perfectly fine berry gatherers and an early travel mount, due to their decent-ish speed. Ofc, I'm talking about pve mainly. I don't play pvp, so I don't really get what you're talking about, but paras are fairly useful for pve. I even use them to this day-I'm lvl 92 (to be fair, this is my first playthrough, so I'm not actually that good, but whatever.).

People dont understand how much Parasaurs detection has ruined official PVP, When you go towards an enemys base/turret towers/vicinity they are instantly alerted via a flashing text stating just where you are, This has of course been the compiled into the whole discord notification bots that using OCR simply have a character in a tek pod that @heres in a discord When a parasaur has detected something, Thus making it impossible for them to be griefed/easily tanked/raided.

Wildcards focus is always tilted towards the defenders and with the current state of the game Attackers need some sort of attention aswell.

First step would definately be nerf'ing player detection range or making it so a player must ride it for it to detect enemys.

You added parasaurs to help with your failed mesh prevention, Now with meshing being a 90+% ban rate its time you look into the things your changes have effected.

We on Official PVP already have to deal with Steam ID tracking via discord bots, Removing parasaurs/nerfing them would greatly increase gameplay potential instead of the cookiecutter defense meta Wildcard has created.

This is yet another PVP fix that doesnt not need to effect PVE if you were to choose so.

Yes--on PVE they are super useful for baby finders. If you change this fire PVP please keep it as it currently is for PVE!

I've been playing this game since 2015 and the game was fine and balanced with radaraurus being added. The problem with the Parasaurus' ability is it dumbs down the game, the same is true for the snow owl. What happened to listening with your ears and using your eyes?

The other problem is since its a low level tame its super cheap and easy to tame, allowing just about anyone to get one.

My suggestion would be that at the very least it not show the specific location of where the enemy is, but only a message that he is nearby. Ideally though this ability should be shifted to a much higher specialist dino say one that is underused like say the megalania even then it doesn't make much sense. Perhaps instead make it a reasonably expensive metal or tek structure requiring a power source. That would reduce its frequency and use among players.
