Changes to Extinction landscape

I had noticed this months ago but today i was re-watching the trailer (because i was flying round the boss arena on extinction) and i noticed the landscape around the arena was different in the trailer to the final product.

https://youtu.be/iyvgDZL514A?t=70 at this point behind the giga you can see a large snow like (probably silicate) structure pointing up HIGH into the sky.

https://youtu.be/iyvgDZL514A?t=102  At this point you can see a sloping silicate like structure behind the ribs.

https://youtu.be/iyvgDZL514A?t=123 From this point for a few seconds in different scenes u can see more massive silicate like structures and landscape.

https://youtu.be/iyvgDZL514A?t=130 This one has the most noticeable one as it goes VERY HIGH into the sky above the arena.

https://youtu.be/iyvgDZL514A?t=144 And finally from here you can see dark clouds, large silicate structures and more of the corruption spikes and vines than is currently in game.

In other words, WHY WAS ALL THAT TAKEN OUT?

It looks mint. What we have is good, but that was better.

I wonder if it was due to rendering, lore or something else.

I would like some official response to satisfy my curiosity. :)

I honestly don't care if you react my post with a facepalm, but heres what I can see or assume.

- They changed the color of that section to something else. I recalled that shape is still there, just changed to fit in with the wasteland theme I suppose. That, or you probably didn't look carefully enough.

- That is a protective layer of the Proto-ARK, possibly changed to fit in with any regular ARK (which would be weird). Judging by the ribs, I'd assume thats the Snow Dome Proto-ARK.

- Did you look around that area? I recalled those things are still around.

- Like the first, color might have changed, but this time I have no idea on that part.

- Those structure and vein are still in game. You won't see them (corruption spikes and vines) glowing an ominous purple glow and dark clouds unless the fight against King Titan has started.

Most of them are probably due to rendering within the trailer that made them good. I mean, its fully on Ultra setting with Ansel as well.

Hmm interesting thoughts.

I was checking out the map in game for all the videos i posted. All the ones i posted are not present. The only anomaly is the dark clouds which u could be right are present with the fight.

Even the positions of the corrupted spikes in the boss arena are changed. I tried finding the exact spot where the owl flies from and you cannot have the same shot of the snow biome shield and spikes coming across it.

All the which structures I pointed out ARE NOT in game now. Small scale areas of the silicate for sure are there but the huge and very noticeable ones are not.

Also, I have seen cinematics. However this one is in game footage, not the same as rendered cinematics.

Its a Cinematic man.. didn't you ever play Diablo II? Or any other big title game? Its always like this

This. The trailer was most likely prerendered before the map was even complete. Both the animators and map designers had the same concept sketches to work from so they will look pretty similar but each with an artists take.

The "map" the trailer was "filmed" on is more than likely made just for the trailer and only consists of the areas being filmed with a flat mesh landscape on the background to give the illusion of being on a large map. Simply put, your comparing two diffetent "maps".

Yer you might both be right.

If that is the case then it is a shame the extra structures were not kept in the end  as they added more Awe to the map.

The actual map may have started as grand as the trailer stages but possibly toned down to ensure consoles and low end PCs got steady fps.
